Please Take a Seat

This is part of the base from the 2009 Tahoe seat that I pulled from an East Austin junk yard. I had been puzzling about how to mount the seat, but I realized recently that I could just bold the seat base straight to the floor. I welded in a section of 1” square steel tube to raise the back up a smidge. Two of the four mounting bolts actually use the existing seat frame bolt holes.

No way this seat would fit with the gas tank still in the cab.

Next step, bolt down the front seat base.
